Abstract
From the moment a patient comes through the doors of the new Stanford Hospital, they will be accompanied through their health care journey, both by a compassionate team of caregivers and staff, and new digital tools developed specifically for the new space.
The aim is to enhance care team efficiency, improve communication and guide the patients to transition from the outpatient clinic to the inpatient setting and back home once they’re discharged.
Approach
Co-designed the technology roadmap with all involved stakeholders and vendors. Aligned, integrated and activated various technologies ranging from a nurse call system tethered to a real time patient and staff location system to an immersive patient entertainment system.
Outcome
Providing superior health care services tailored to each individual’s needs, enabled by over 30 miles of ethernet cable, three data centers and one of healthcare’s most advanced wireless networks.
The New Stanford Hospital opens to patients in the Fall 2019.
